THIN CRUST VEGGIE PIZZA

MAKES 5 PIZZAS

INGREDIENTS:

FOR THE PIZZA BASE:

Refined Flour

3 cups

Yeast

2 tsp

Sugar

1 tsp

Salt

½ tsp

Refined Oil/Olive Oil

2 tbsp

 

FOR THE TOPPINGS:

Paneer

300 gms

Capsicum

1 no.

Onion

2 no.s

Mushroom

100 gms

Garlic

3-4 cloves

Mixed herbs

2 tbsp

Salt

To taste

Black pepper

To taste

 

FOR MAKING THE PIZZA:

Mozzarella Cheese/ processed cheese

250 gms

Refined oil

As required

Pizza sauce

5-6 tbsp

Mixed herbs& chili flakes

As required (optional)

 


PROCEDURE:

Making the Base:

1.Take 1 cup of warm water and dissolve the sugar in it, add yeast, cover and leave it for 10 mins. Collect the mixture to form a very soft dough, add the same warm water if required.

2.Sieve flour in another dish add salt and slowly add it to the yeast mixture. Stir it gently with a spoon. 

3.Knead the dough for 30 seconds and apply 1 tbsp oil, massage the dough for 1 min, apply another tbsp of oil top and sides.

4.Cover the dough and leave it in a warm place for 1-2 hrs to rise well.

5.After an hour you will see the dough has become double in its size, knock the dough and pull it on a flat surface to knead well. Sprinkle lots of dry flour and knead the dough well for 4-5 mins. 

6.Divide the dough into 5 portions, make balls and keep it covered again for 15 mins.

 

Preparing the toppings:

1.Shell the onions and cut the capsicum into triangular shapes. Clean and wash the mushroom and cut them into slices.

2. Heat some oil into a pan and add the paneer cubes and sauté for 2 mins on medium flame. Take them out and keep aside.

3. In the same pan add chopped garlic and sauté for a minute, then add onion, capsicum, and the mushroom. Sauté everything well on medium flame. After 2-3 minutes add mixed herbs, salt, and pepper powder. Switch off the flame and add the sautéed paneer cubes.

4.The pizza toppings are ready.

Assembling the pizza:

1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees and grease the pizza tray.

2. Take one dough ball and roll it into a medium-thin base. place it carefully on the pizza tray and prick it with a fork.

3. Brush some oil on top of the sheet, apply 1 ½ tbsp of pizza sauce, and spread it nicely. Apply a handful of grated mozzarella cheese and spread it evenly.

4. Place the toppings and decorate your pizza according to your choice. Finally, add a hint of salt on top and place it in the oven for 15 mins.
