Do try this new recipe of halwa wherein you will get the graininess of suji mixed beautifully with the earthen flavors of besan in a sweet form to soothe your taste buds after a great meal!

Ingredients:

Gram flour (Besan) |
1 cup |

Semolina (Suji) |
1cup |
|
Clarified Butter
(Ghee) |
½ cup |

Sugar |
1 cup + 2 Tbsp |
|
Dry fruits |
As required |

Saffron (Kesar) |
Few strands |
Procedure:
1. Measure the Besan and Suji and mix them on a plate. Chop
the dry fruits.
2. Heat a pan on medium flame and add the ghee. After a
while add the besan and suji mixture and sauté them on medium flame till the mixture
is aromatic and golden in color.
3.In another saucepan, boil 2 cups of water and add few
strands of Kesar in it. Once the besan-suji mixture gets done, reduce the flame, and slowly add in the boiled water and keep stirring it.
4.The halwa will start collecting together, add more water
if required. Stir the mixture for 1 minute and then add sugar, cook the halwa
on a medium flame till the sugar dissolves.
5.Add ½ tbsp of ghee on top to enhance the flavor. Serve
it warm, topped with chopped dry fruits.
